TRAVIS JARRETT
QA MANAGER / MACHINIST
Travis Jarrett brings more than a decade of manufacturing experience to TITANS of CNC, along with a deep respect for craftsmanship, precision, and the people who keep the industry moving. Originally from Oregon and now living in Texas with his wife of nearly 15 years and their two daughters, Travis has been in manufacturing since 2010. What began as a practical way to make a living quickly became a trade he genuinely loves.
Travis did not take a traditional path into machining. He studied philosophy before stepping into the workforce determined to build a meaningful career. With some prior experience in metal shop and welding, he took a chance on entering the machining industry. He nearly did not land the job that started it all, but once he did, everything changed. From that point forward, he committed himself fully to the craft.
He began as a welder before moving onto a manual lathe and shortly thereafter into CNC lathes, where he took on programming, setup, machining, and inspection responsibilities. Over the years, Travis has worked in both production and job shop environments across automotive, medical, aerospace, and defense industries. His material experience spans everything from standard steels and stainless alloys to titanium and demanding high-temperature materials such as Inconel and Haynes 188.
Turning is the foundation of Travis’ expertise, particularly live-tool CNC lathes. He has a deep appreciation for the elegance of a well-executed turned part and believes they are some of the cleanest and most beautiful components in manufacturing. He continues to expand his capabilities into mill-turn machining, building on a strong foundation of precision turning, process control, and attention to detail.
I'll never forget the first time I stepped into a real manufacturing plant. It was hot, dirty, and smelled like metal—and I loved every bit of it.
Some of the most difficult work in Travis’ career has involved tight-tolerance components in unforgiving materials: fine threads in Inconel, thin-wall titanium parts, and applications that require far more than simply removing material. These are the kinds of jobs where success depends on managing heat, pressure, deflection, and process control simultaneously. That level of complexity is exactly where Travis does some of his best work.
What Travis loves most about manufacturing is both the work itself and the people behind it. He takes pride in producing parts that serve a real purpose in the world, whether supporting automotive performance, medical procedures, aerospace systems, or defense applications. Just as important to him is the manufacturing community itself. He sees it as a skilled, hardworking, and often underappreciated group of people whose dedication quite literally keeps the world moving.
That is a major reason why TITANS of CNC means so much to him. It gives him the opportunity to connect with people across the industry, help them grow, and contribute to something larger than the shop floor. Being part of a mission that helps others build skills, pursue opportunity, and take pride in their work is something he finds deeply meaningful.
Travis takes serious pride in craftsmanship and attention to detail. He describes himself as a perfectionist, something that can be both a strength and a challenge, but it reflects the standard he holds for his work. He believes great parts should not only perform at a high level but also look right. At the end of the day, Travis is driven by doing the work well, honoring the craft, and contributing to an industry that still builds real things.
