JACOB PEDERSEN

CNC PROGRAMMER & MACHINIST

Jacob Daniel Pedersen brings nine years of manufacturing experience to TITANS of CNC, along with a strong foundation in production, education, and workforce development. Originally from Aurora, Colorado, and now living in Aubrey, Texas, Jacob entered the trade early through a high school apprenticeship that taught him how to take parts from prototype to production. That experience helped shape the way he approaches machining to this day, with a mindset built around discipline, real-world execution, and continuous improvement.

Throughout his career, Jacob has worked across medical, aerospace, and defense manufacturing while also spending significant time in education and training environments. That combination of industry experience and teaching has given him a unique perspective on the trade. He understands not only how to produce high-precision components, but also how to help others understand the process, build skills, and develop confidence in manufacturing.

Jacob has spent much of his production and setup time on mill-turn platforms such as the Mazak i-400 and i-200, along with Okuma lathes and Mori Seiki mills. He also has experience with FANUC Robodrills and Swiss machines, while much of his programming work has been performed on Haas machining centers and 3+1-axis platforms. His material experience includes 6061 and 7075 aluminum, engineering plastics such as Delrin, nylon, and UHMW, brass alloys including oil-impregnated and 360 brass, and steels such as 304, 316L, 1018, 1095, 15-5, and 17-4. Most of his work has centered on precision components and production parts where efficiency, repeatability, and consistency matter at the highest level.

What Jacob enjoys most is complex, efficient production. He loves helping everyday people better understand mills, lathes, and manufacturing processes, but he is equally energized by highly optimized systems: a well-configured 5-axis machine with pallet automation or a fully dialed-in mill-turn producing parts all day with minimal operator intervention. For him, there is something deeply satisfying about two shifts’ worth of production being completed with only minutes of direct engagement. That level of intelligent, high-efficiency manufacturing is what excites him most.

Machining is perfecting every step in a process, being attentive to every detail and controlling every variable to achieve your desired outcome. Apply that mindset to whatever challenge you face, and you can tackle anything.

Some of the projects that have stayed with Jacob the most are the ones connected to real purpose and real impact. He has worked on black boxes for F-22 aircraft, door latches for Boeing, medical testing equipment tied to conditions his own mother would later be tested for, and oxygen tank connections for firefighters. One especially demanding project involved machining extremely hard material for those firefighter connections, pushing the team to modify the post processor itself to achieve the required thread specifications. Knowing those parts would only be used in worst-case scenarios made the work even more meaningful.

Jacob sees manufacturing as a profession where discipline, problem-solving, and technical skill translate directly into real-world results. In this trade, outcomes are measurable: either the part works or it does not. That level of accountability is part of what gives manufacturing its meaning. The work supports both critical systems and everyday life, and that responsibility continues to drive him.

At TITANS of CNC, Jacob values being surrounded by people who operate at a high level and hold one another to that standard. He appreciates the alignment between what is said and what is done, from the way people are treated to how challenges are solved on the shop floor. It is an environment that pushes individuals to improve, contribute, and raise the bar for both the company and the industry.

Jacob’s background also includes extensive involvement in certifications, apprenticeship development, and trade advocacy. He has taken and helped administer ACE, NIMS, NTMA, SOLIDWORKS, SkillsUSA, TSA, RNL, and Tooling U certifications, and he has served as a Department of Labor Apprenticeship Trailblazer. Beyond making parts, he has dedicated significant time to helping others build careers in manufacturing and creating meaningful pathways for the next generation of skilled professionals.

Jacob represents the kind of talent that strengthens the future of manufacturing: technically capable, disciplined, mission-driven, and deeply committed to building both great parts and great people.
