CHRIS VILLALPANDO
GRINDING SUPERVISOR
Christopher Santana Villalpando brings more than a decade of manufacturing experience to TITANS of CNC, along with a strong foundation in discipline, precision, and continuous learning. Originally from Hearne, Texas, and now living in Granbury, Texas, Christopher comes from a family that deeply values education. His mother is a special education teacher, and his brother is a high school shop teacher, influences that helped shape his respect for learning, craftsmanship, and hands-on problem solving.
Christopher’s path into manufacturing began after serving in the United States Marine Corps. It was his brother, who was working as a machinist at the time, who passed down his machinist tools and helped spark the career that would follow. That moment became the starting point for a profession built on skill, focus, and pride in doing demanding work the right way.
Over the last decade, Christopher has worked in welding shops, job shops, and aerospace environments, building experience across manual and CNC mills and lathes, as well as surface grinders and tool grinders. His specialty is cylindrical grinding, where precision, patience, and technical control are everything. Much of his experience has centered on high-precision transmission components such as gears, mast poles, and other drivetrain parts that require exacting standards and flawless execution.
What Christopher enjoys most about cylindrical grinding is the level of precision it demands. He takes pride in bringing parts back to true centerline after heat treat by regrinding existing centers, then carrying them through lapping and final diameter operations to hold tight tolerances. It is detailed, high-consequence work that leaves no room for shortcuts, and that is exactly what makes it meaningful to him.
Machining is an uncommon craft. Known by few, but relied on by all, quietly building everything the world depends on.
One of Christopher’s proudest accomplishments has been working on helicopter transmission components designed for 30-minute no-oil flight performance. In work like that, precision is not just about quality; it directly affects safety, reliability, and performance in critical situations. Knowing the parts he helps produce play such an important role is one of the things that makes the trade so rewarding.
Christopher is passionate about manufacturing because it is real problem-solving work that keeps the world moving forward. He values the fact that the work is tangible, technical, and important. At TITANS of CNC, he especially appreciates the culture and the people. He sees it as a place where everyone is willing to share knowledge, challenge each other, and keep improving, not just as machinists, but in the way they think, solve problems, and develop their craft.
He also takes pride in being part of a team that is educating and inspiring the next generation of machinists. That mission gives the work a deeper meaning and makes it about far more than what happens on the shop floor. Christopher represents the kind of professional who strengthens both the company and the industry: disciplined, skilled, humble, and committed to improving every day.
